Ubuntu is a beautiful and old African philosophy that is rooted in many African countries as their way of being. In its simplest translation it means “human kindness” but the essence of the philosophy embodies much more than that, it believes that no person is a single island and we are all connected through community, culture and a mutual empathy for all.
Ubuntu is central to what I do. I work with groups to create a sense of being connected to others through a common purpose and a culture. When we practice and work with ubuntu we tap into the collective intelligence of a group where each of us has a vital role to play that is held in balance with others - Our own well being is deeply tied to the well being of others.
My aim is to have people leave my sessions saying "Yu, u nobunto" - That person has ubuntu.
A little bit about me
I’m a Facilitator and Learning Designer that focuses on guiding groups to reach their collective intelligence through process, purpose and play. I have worked with both small and large companies helping them change their culture, creating new and relevant ideas for their ever changing consumer and facilitating programmes that made them more collaborative, creative and impactful.
I believe that unlocking the potential of individuals and teams are the key to business success and personal happiness. I help companies ignite their true purpose and create a culture that supports their journey towards it. My facilitation and Learning design draws out the individual and collective wisdom of teams and helps to bring peoples authentic experiences, dreams and visions to the surface; enabling meaningful connections, communal engagement and collaboration to happen.
